At 7:45 on June 13, 2025, a good news came from the site of Xinjiang Huadian Hami 2×1,000MW coal-fired power project: Unit 1, constructed by?Hebei Construction Group (HBCG)’s Foundation?Engineering Company, passed the 168-hour full-load trial run?successfully?with?a high standard performance in single attempt, which is?officially put into commercial operation?now.
? ? ? ? Xinjiang Huadian Hami 2×1,000MW coal-fired power project is a key project under China's 14th Five-Year Plan. It serves as a critical supportive peak-regulating power source for the new energy base in the Gobi region?on the northern slope of Tianshan?Mountain in Hami-Chongqing ±800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project. As the first national power project to be commissioned in “desert, Gobi and barren land” regions, it requires a?high standards within a tight construction?schedule. HBCG undertook key structure construction and installation for the project, including the steel-structured air-cooling system, circulating water pump house and hydrogen production station.
